Texas State Club Baseball

Eat Em Up Bobcats!

Texas State Club Baseball is a sports club team at Texas State University in San Marcos, TX. or as they like to call it, San Marvelous. The team is a member of the National Club Baseball Association, and consists of students ranging from incoming freshman to seniors. Club Baseball is an extremely competitive group of experienced players who all love and enjoy being a part of the game of baseball, both on and off the field.
In their first season as a team (2010-2011) the Bobcats won conference, going 14-4 while receiving a bid to the NCBA Division II World Series in Johnstown, PA. The team competed against 8 teams from around the country, and to the surprise of many, finished fourth in the nation in their debut season.

The 2011-2012 season proved to be captivating once again as the NCBA moved Texas State to the Division I, Gulf Coast East Conference where they won their second conference title in as many years going 17-1 in conference play.
After receiving the number one seed at regionals in Mckinney, TX (ahead of schools like Texas Tech, the University of Texas, and the University of North Texas) the Bobcats faced two late inning heartbreaks, sending them home earlier then planned, and depriving a return trip to the NCBA World Series.

There is always room for growth on any sports team, and the Bobcats continue to improve their efforts as both a team and an organization through community service, school work, and of course the game of baseball. They hope to find their way back into the postseason mix once again when the season heads to a close.
